About Cecilia Douglass
With over 14 years of experience in marketing, sales, grant writing, community engagement, and strategic planning, I am dedicated to fostering the growth of organizations and businesses in Southwest Kansas. My background includes collaboration with non-profits, businesses, and community initiatives, with a focus on driving sustainable growth through outreach, partnership, and effective leadership.
I have actively participated in several local boards, such as The Tumbleweed Festival, The Salvation Army of Finney County, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Finney & Kearny Counties. Since 2014, I have served as a Garden City Chamber Ambassador, receiving the Ambassador of the Year award in 2015. My expertise encompasses event planning, volunteer recruitment, fundraising, and leadership development. I have collaborated with organizations like Chains Break on strategic planning and have contributed to enhancing the financial sustainability of the Tumbleweed Festival.
As a participant in Leadership Garden City's Spring 2024 class and a graduate of the Kansas Leadership Center’s program, I am committed to utilizing my skills to effect positive change in Southwest Kansas. My family's involvement in local organizations, such as the Finney County Humane Society and The American Red Cross, has further strengthened my ties to this community. I am passionate about fostering partnerships and promoting long-term success to ensure the prosperity of our community.
